Not long ago I finished the novel Legacy of Wolves by Marsheila Rockwell. This novel is a murder mystery set in the world of Eberron. I am a huge fan of Eberron and as you can tell from my Book List I’ve read most of the novels in that setting. This one gave me my first look at the culture of the shifters, also known as the Weretouched. The shifters are a separate race, descended from lycanthropes (i.e., Werewolves) who are able to take on animalistic characteristics of their were-ancestors. The book was pretty good especially for a first time author. So of course I was inspired to create a Weretouched design:
